BIO

I have spent more than half my life teaching human anatomy. And I have taught at every level—vocational schools, the Salt Lake Community College, the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Westminster University, and here at the University of UtahI have taught in the School of Medicine, the Physician Assistant program, and the Human Anatomy classes in the School of Biological Siences. Early in my career I had two outstanding  mentors. They both told me that one cannot become a great anatomist simply by knowing human anatomy. To be truly great one must have a strong background in evolutionarily biology, vertebrate embryology, and comparative anatomy. So, for the last thee decades, I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of this recommened knowledge. Over the years I have come to realize the two most amazing and exciting aspects of my journey. The first one is the opportunity I have to share my knowledge students, the second one is that the pursuit will never end.
