KRISTY GAUTHIER

Kristy Gauthier is a leader in simulation-based nursing education, specializing in the integration of experiential learning across the Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum. She designs and implements high-fidelity simulation experiences that develop clinical judgment, teamwork, communication, and patient safety competencies in alignment with the AACN Essentials and the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice™.

Her teaching approach emphasizes psychological safety, structured debriefing, and reflective practice to promote deep learning and professional growth. She is recognized for leading innovative multi-patient and high-acuity simulations that prepare learners to manage complex clinical situations with confidence and clinical reasoning.

Kristy is also a strong advocate for interprofessional education. She collaborates with graduate nursing students and other healthcare disciplines to create team-based simulation experiences that reflect real-world practice, strengthening learners’ ability to communicate, collaborate, and deliver patient-centered care.
