SWOMITRA MOHANTY

I teach courses in biochemical engineering, biomedical devices and sensors, and renewable energy systems, with a focus on connecting fundamental engineering principles to real-world applications. My courses emphasize active learning, systems thinking, and the integration of experimental, computational, and data-driven approaches.

I also develop interdisciplinary coursework that bridges chemical engineering, materials science, and emerging areas such as clean energy and hydrogen technologies, helping students understand how engineering solutions translate to industry and societal impact.

As Director of Undergraduate Affairs for the Price College of Engineering at the University of Utah, I lead initiatives focused on student success, experiential learning, and workforce readiness. This includes the development of scalable training programs and curricula that prepare students and technical trainees for careers in renewable energy and hydrogen systems.
