BIO

Dr. Sharifa Al-Qaaydeh is an experienced nursing educator and pediatric oncology nurse with a passion for advancing nursing education and patient care. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003, Dr. Al-Qaaydeh worked as a pediatric oncology nurse.  Building on this foundation, Dr. Al-Qaaydeh completed a Master of Science in Nursing Education, focusing research on cancer survivorship issues among childhood cancer survivors.

In 2019, Dr. Al-Qaaydeh earned a PhD from the University of Utah, with a dissertation centered on symptoms in young children with cancer. Since joining the University of Utah College of Nursing in 2008,  Dr. Al-Qaaydeh has taught a wide range of courses, from prerequisite classes to graduate-level programs, with expertise in pediatrics, child development, simulation, nursing education, and clinical instruction. Dr. Al-Qaaydeh currently serves as the Track Director for the Prelicensure Program.
