I serve as a District Judge on the Third District Court in the Utah State Courts. My calendar is split between civil cases (different types of civil litigation from complaint through trial, including complex business disputes, personal injury, medical malpractice, employment, torts, collection, and real estate cases); criminal cases (different types of criminal litigation from charging through trial, including crimes against persons and crimes against property, including both felonies and misdemeanors); and domestic cases (different types of domestic relations litigation from petition through trial, including divorce, annulment, property division, child custody, support, parent-time, adoption and paternity cases).

I have participated in the Utah Judicial Inclusion Mentorship Program since January 2024. This program pairs a sitting judge with a current law student in Utah. The judge and student meet in person three times per semester to talk through the student's career interests and the judge's career trajectory.
