BIO
I have a deep appreciation for how our bodies enable us to do the physical activities that allow us to thrive. The study of exercise physiology has been a calling since my undergraduate work and I enjoy sharing this field of study with the undergraduate students I teach. I have a particular interest in exploring how exericse helps keep us healthy and well. My research interests include exercise effects on energy balance and health and the role of exercise in treating the most prevalent chronic diseases. I also enjoy participating in university service endeavors that strive to improve and refine the undergraduate experience and better prepare our students for what comes after graduation.
