HEIDI FAVERO

I have been formally teaching since 2016, specifically in the track-specific courses for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP track. Before joining the faculty, I enjoyed working with learners as a critical care nurse. Once I joined the academic arena, I appreciated how much clinical experience and formal teaching serve one another. 

I believe in being adaptable as an educator. It is essential to consider different ways to deliver information and evaluate students' outcomes. Working with the faculty in the AGACNP track, we have made many changes based on student feedback and continue to treat the academic experience as a QI initiative. I am dedicated to students' success.

The most rewarding aspect of being an educator is seeing students grow and ultimately achieve their academic and professional goals. This is my "why". I look forward to continuing to contribute to the profession by staying abreast of clinical practice changes, maintaining my clinical practice, and developing a robust curriculum that ensures our students transition from nurses to provider roles.
