RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in using various forms of spectroscopy to study the properties of materials for use in LED and photovoltaic applications. Additionally, I'm interested in 1D superconductivity, specifically it's applications to quantum computing.
Outside of these topics, I'm focused on physics education research, specifically in student sense-making a lab setting. I've helped to develop our department's IPLS (Introductory Physics for the Life Sciences) Labs and have been doing research on that population in collaboration with the College of Education. Additionally, I'm very intetersted in how the teaching teams we imploy in these labs internalize and translate our teaching material in the lab environment.
