Dr. Son’s teaching focuses on preparing undergraduate and graduate students as future professionals in educational psychology, the science of teaching and learning in literacy and language, and educational research and evaluation. She teaches courses in early learning—including Child Development and Learning: Understanding Children Birth to Grade 6, Language and Literacy Development of Young Children, and Literacy Education Comprehensive Review and Exam Preparation—as well as research-focused courses such as Understanding Educational Research in Literacy and Introduction to Hierarchical Linear Models.
