I am an Associate Professor within the Department of Health and Kinesiology within the College of Health. My research interests are physical activity epidemiology, interventions and promotion in young people including children, adolescents, and young adults. I also have interests in the measurement issues of physical activity and fitness, in addition to examining correlates of health behaviors within the context of the 24-hour movement behavior framework. I teach undergraduate courses in motor development and graduate courses in Research Design and Data Analysis. I am the Editor-in-Chief for the journal Preventive Medicine Reports, Associate Editor at Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, and serve on the Editorial Boards for Annals of Behavioral Medicine, Journal of Physical Activity and Health, and Measurement in Physical Education and Exercise Science. Through the American Statistical Association, I am an Accredited Professional Statistician (PStat®).
