RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on human flourishing and holistic athlete development, integrating psychosocial, psychospiritual, and emotional processes to better understand how athletes grow as both performers and people. I examine how qualities such as resilience, meaning-making, and psychological flexibility support not only performance under pressure but also long-term well-being, identity formation, and life satisfaction.

A key part of my work explores how coaching, environment, and intentional developmental practices shape the whole athlete—their motivation, character, relational health, and sense of purpose. Ultimately, my research aims to build evidence-based frameworks that help athletes navigate adversity, cultivate inner resources and acceptance, and pursue sustained flourishing both within sport and throughout the broader human experience.
