TEACHING INTERESTS
My librarianship/teaching philosophy is to demystify libraries, database searching, and higher education research so that anyone can successfully find, evaluate, and apply information. As an undergraduate student I struggled to use the libraries' extensive resources, besides simply borrowing older editions of my textbooks to save money. Now in my librarianship, teaching, research, and service, I strive to remove access barriers by working alongside students and researchers. When teaching or guest lecturing I foster this through practical interactive learning activities and hands-on practice.
