BIO
I am the Associate Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies in the College of Humanities. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures and a first‑generation college graduate who is dedicated to encouraging student success for all backgrounds.
I’ve served as Associate Chair of World Languages & Cultures, where I supervised major academic operations including Fulbright Scholars, college professors of the Bridge Program (3000-level language courses in Utah High Schools), hiring and professional development of faculty and staff, and scheduling for roughly 500 courses per year. I served on every departmental committee over the past 11 years, contributed to departmental and center accreditations and Learning Outcome Assessments.
I also spent six years reviewing cases on the Academic Senate’s Conflict of Interest Committee, and currently serve as a team leader in faculty–community partnership building with University Neighborhood Partners. I am an experienced grant administrator, having managed more than $1M across 10 funded projects during my tenure in Utah.
