RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research lies at the intersection of ecology, mathematics, and the statistical methods necessary to connect biological models to data. Much of my work is motivated by questions in extreme environments, including polar sea ice and Great Salt Lake, Utah. I am also interested in theoretical ecology, with an emphasis on transient dynamics induced by environmental change. I also often collaborate on a range of mathematical or quantitative projects in other areas of ecology.
