TANMOY LASKAR

My teaching philosophy is based on my experience as a supervisor, co-advisor, and individual mentor of over nineteen undergraduate and six PhD students, as the instructor for one lower-division undergraduate course, one upper-division undergraduate course, and one graduate course at the University of Utah, as a teaching assistant for two undergraduate and one graduate-level course at Harvard University, my work with curriculum review committees at the University of Bath, my experience as a docent for five years at Harvard College Observatory, and through my coursework for a Teaching Certificate as a graduate student at Harvard University. As an educator, I aim to Train leaders by providing Attention to Individuals, and tying together Lab, Outreach, and Research Experience components in an environment that nurtures Diversity. I believe that this approach is tailored to support many communities, including high school and college students, LGBTQ and disadvantaged students, women, and people of marginalied identities, while providing an environment where each learner can grow to their full potential.
