I use various pedagogical methods to engage the students in class, whether face-to-face or online.  Students in my classes 

participate in case studies and discussions to acquire and apply the course information in a practical way. The students also evaluate different representations of practice, including examples of lesson plans, case studies, examples of assessments and accompanying student work, and video observations of lessons. Students demonstrate comprehension and mastery of the course objectives through content quizzes, individual assignments, discussions, and individual and group presentations.

To improve my teaching practices, I participate in professional development opportunities offered by the university and organizations of which I am a member.  I look forward to continuing to strengthen the educational experience for students at the University of Utah.
