BIO
My research focuses on the "Energy-Environment" dual challenge, aiming to find affordable, reliable energy solutions while ensuring environmental sustainability. My team investigates the dynamics, thermophysics, and biogeochemistry of particulate matter, complex fluids, and multiphase reacting flows across different spatiotemporal scales in the context of geo-energy systems (e.g., hydrogen storage, carbon storage, geothermal, etc.). Key to our work is analyzing the nonlinear responses of these materials/flows under varying external stimuli to optimize stress and energy transmission, accounting for uncertainties. In this process, my research group develops and employs high-fidelity computational models, cutting-edge experimental setups, and data-driven techniques grounded in physicochemical principles.
