BIO

I am an assistant professor (lecturer), online program coordinator, and internship coordinator for the Department of Parks, Recreation, & Tourism. I grew up in sports and business so it's fitting that I received a master's degree in sport psychology and a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. My Ph.D. was in PRT with an emphasis in Sport Management, which seems to tie my master's degrees together quite well. My dissertation was titled: The Relationships of Core Product Quality, Service Quality, and Involvement with the Satisfaction of Major League Soccer Spectators. I like to apply what I teach and stay connected to practitioners, so in my spare time I coach competitive youth soccer.

I'm very involved in teaching and curriculum development committees at the department, college, and university levels, and I've taught a number of courses in the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism including:
PRT 3101 - Professional Preparation in PRT
PRT 3211 - Parks, Recreation and Tourism Experiences and Service Marketing
PRT 3340 - Entrepreneurial Recreation
PRT 3510 - Trends and Issues in Community Recreation and Sport Management
PRT 3610 - The Global Citizen: Responsible Travel and International Life
PRT 4828 - The Senior Internship
PRT 5395 - Financial Management in PRT
PRT 5490 - Business of Sport
Additionally, I've enjoyed having the opportunity to teach discussion sections for PRT 3100 (Foundations of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism), PRT 3310 (Leisure Behavior and Human Diversity), PRT 3320 (Recreation Programming and Leadership ), PRT 3780 (Program and Service Evaluation in PRT), along with coaching courses, exploration of the movement sciences, human anatomy, and skills-based activity classes including golf and weight training.

Currently, I primarily teach the following:
PRT 3101 - Professional Preparation in PRT
PRT 4828 - The Senior Internship
PRT 5490 - Business of Sport
PRT 5500 - Sport Analytics
