TEACHING INTERESTS

I teach courses that help students make better decisions with data and build intentional careers in healthcare leadership. In the Department of Operations and Information Systems, I teach IS 2010 Data-Driven Decisions, an undergraduate core course in spreadsheet modeling and applied analytics, with three sections each semester (about 300 students in Fall 2026). In the Master of Healthcare Administration program, I teach MHA 6000 Career Strategies (fall) and MHA 6001 Career Readiness (spring).

My classroom approach emphasizes applied practice: students work with realistic business and healthcare cases, and I frame analytics as a tool for judgment, not just calculation. In the MHA program, I pair coursework with individual career coaching. I have contributed to IS 2010 course improvements, offered ideas for the AI minor curriculum, and helped develop the Eccles Gen AI student competition.

In Fall 2025, students rated their likelihood to recommend me as an instructor at 4.90 out of 5, compared with a college average of 4.43 (85 responses). I have also served as a guest lecturer, panelist, and alumni speaker for the MHA program since 2015.
