BIO

I am Dr. Anita Pascoe, a sociologist who focuses on health, policy, and society-related topics. My work centers on patient-centered care, shared decision-making, and health disparities. I bridge social demography and social epidemiology, examining how social factors shape health outcomes across populations.

I hold a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Utah, where I studied shared decision-making within palliative care teams. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in interdisciplinary health research, qualitative methods, and community engagement. I have presented nationally on healthcare innovation and ethics, and I have taught a wide range of courses on health and society. Being fluent in multiple languages allows me to bring a global perspective to both my teaching and my research.
