JOERG RUEGEMER

Over the past two decades, Jörg Rügemer has advanced the School’s mission by integrating scholarly research and professional practice into classroom and studio teaching. Through lectures, presentations, and regular site, project, and manufacturer visits, he connects research outcomes with real-world applications, preparing students to enter the profession with a strong understanding of high-performance building design and their role as agents of change in the built environment.

His teaching approach emphasizes well-structured, student-centered instruction, combining face-to-face engagement with online and distance-learning opportunities. Each course clearly outlines expectations, assignments, evaluation methods, and review processes. This approach is highly valued by students, as reflected in consistently above-average teaching evaluations and strong written feedback.
