MATT MOORE

Assistant Professor (Lecturer)

Health & Kinesiology

BIO

I’m a grateful husband and proud father, first and foremost.

Professionally, I bring a diverse and dynamic background to my work as a professor, instructor, researcher, leadership development specialist, and mental performance coach. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals—from Division I and professional athletes and coaches to members of the U.S. Army and Air Force, as well as musicians, business leaders, healthcare professionals, faculty, and students. Currently, I serve as a professor of Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Utah and as a High Performance Coach with the University of Utah Health.

I often say I work in the field of human optimization and maximization. Whether in sport, the classroom, the boardroom, or on the battlefield, my mission is to help individuals develop greater psychological flexibility and emotional resilience—so they can lead more intentional, sustainable, and fulfilling lives.
