SARAH IVY

I teach pre-service special educator courses in early childhood, severe disabilities, and deafblindness. I also am the program coordinator for the Deafblind Program. My approach to teaching is largely defined by providing background knowledge, including theory and step-by-step instructions, on teaching practices, then supporting students to implement practices, reflect, and refine based on my feedback. In this way, the approach is iterative and I support students to achieve mastery through cycles of practice, feedback/reflection, and more practice.
