After completing a B.S. in Movement Science at Texas Christian University, Dr. King joined the Developmental Motor Control Laboratory led by Dr. Jane Clark at the University of Maryland where he earned both a Master's and PhD. He completed a postdoctoral fellowships in the laboratories of Dr. Julien Doyon at the University of Montreal (Canada) and Dr. Stephan Swinnen at KU Leuven (Belgium). Dr. King started as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health & Kinesiology at the University of Utah in August 2020 where he leads the Lifespan Motor Neuroscience laboratory.
