BIO

Dr. Huiwen Ji is an Assistant Professor of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Utah, where she studies the synthesis, structure, and functional properties of solid-state materials with a particular interest in how correlated disorder and competing local forces influence material behavior for energy and technology applications. Her research combines advanced synthesis methods, property measurements, and cutting-edge characterization techniques to uncover structure-property relationships that are often inaccessible in perfect crystals but critical for performance in applications such as energy storage.
