BIO

Dennis Soldin studied physics at the University of Wuppertal, Germany, where he received his Ph.D. in 2017 for his work on cosmic-ray measurements with the IceCube Neutrino Observatory (IceCube).

As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Delaware, he continued his cosmic-ray research with IceCube and served as convener of the IceCube Cosmic-Ray Working Group from 2018 to 2023. Since 2021, Soldin has also been involved in plans for the Forward Physics Facility (FPF) at CERN, serving on the FPF Coordination Panel and convening the Working Group on Light Hadron Production. In 2022, he moved to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany as a postdoctoral researcher before joining the University of Utah as an assistant professor in 2023.

In 2024, Soldin joined the Trinity Collaboration, which aims to build a new neutrino observatory at Frisco Peak in southern Utah, where he convenes the Working Group for Analysis and Simulation. Since 2025, he serves as the IceCube Analysis Coordinator, overseeing the organization and coordination of its working groups and physics analyses. In 2026, he joined the TAMBO Collaboration, which aims to develop a next-generation neutrino observatory designed to detect ultra-high-energy tau neutrinos originating from deep space.

Soldin's research focuses on high-energy astroparticle physics, with an emphasis on cosmic rays, neutrinos, and the development of novel observatories to explore the most energetic phenomena in the universe.
